DC Pandey Book is generally for the preparation of jee mains and jee Advance.

If you have to take a gap of 1 year, then you can prepare after 12th. But if you have to qualify jee in the running years (i.e when you are in class 12th) then you must solve it from 11th onwards.

It depends on person to person's plannings... BTW it's highly recommended that you practice for MCQ parallel to your board preparation... As in India we need not to prepare for 11th board its only about 12th and studying extra questions from dc pandey isn't any big deal... Because you'll be getting into topmost colleges if you clear exams such as jee/neet...

You can use DC Pandey physics in class 11 as well. DC Pandey physics is a set of 5 books which are nicely divided chapter wise and I would suggest, you do the chapters from DC Pandey as you study them at school. This will help build your concepts and give you a deeper knowledge of the subject you are studying. This will in the end give you an edge in JEE Mains.
