Hey there

It is true that companies sees candidates past records but it is also true that in India semester exams are not a tough nut to crack and just by solving previous year question atleast one can pass the exam which is a harsh truth. So companies do not focus much on grades rather they'll see whether you have an attractive personality how you speak how much knowledge you have in your concerned field and what extra things you have done like internships etc.
