To become a Dietician, you need to follow the steps ;

• Clear class 12th with any stream (Science with Biology is preferred).
• Pursue B.Sc/B.A Nutrition or B.Sc Food Technology.
• Pursue a PG Diploma in Nutrition or an M.Sc. in Food and Nutrition.
• Intern for 6-months and clear the Registered Dietician entrance exam.

The professionals can be employed at places such as colleges, schools, research institutes, private and government hospitals, yoga centres, government’s health departments etc.

Passing of RD Exam is mandatory for those candidates who want to become Registered Dietician in India.

• Registered Dietitian Exam consists of two test papers each (having three sections each) of two hours duration.
• The candidates are required to obtain 50% for qualifying, and a minimum of 45% for each paper.
