Generally for appearing in any competitive exams one needs to hold a degree in any basic and authorised subjects. And, in case to choosing any optional subject for the entrances you have given a particular list of subjects to choose from. So, if the cce subject you want to go with is there in the list then oy you can choose it, otherwise no.
