Cells in G0 phase exit the cell cycle or suspend the cell cycle ?

Suspend because cells exit the G1 PHASE of the cycle. For more reference refer to Latest NCERT VERSION, PAGE 264.

Also suspend because if you can relate, Zooplankton enters a stage of SUSPENDED ACTIVITY known as diapause to escape in time from harsh climate. And again continue their normal way of life once favourable conditions get re established. This fact is present in ecology part of class 12 ncert.

Hi krishang, 

Cells in G0 stage do not further prepare themselves for division and perform their regular functions. This stage is inactive stage but the cells are metabolically acitve and they perform their functions. This stage occurs outside the replicative cell cycle.
