Hello,

The selection of a stream especially in your degree level depends on your interest. So first find out what you are interested in. If you are interested in Chemical engineering, you should check the syllabus. If it really passionates you, then go for it.

The opportunities in chemical engineering are in petroleum, rubber, resin, basic chemical manufacturing industries and then of course research.

Hello Harshita, Chemical engineering is one of the branch in engineering field for which very less students choose it.  And it is also a good choice for career. In both the sectors jobs are available,  in private also and in government sector also. Students can do job in following sector

Cement factories

Fertilizer factories

Biotechnology

Food processing

Petroleum engneer

Petrochemical engineer.

students may got average salary up-to 2.5-3 lacks at fresher level.
