Dear Aspirant

It depends whatever options you have but i suggest that give priority to branch because if you want that particular branch obviously you have a passion to do so. Branch should be given preference over college. It is not what you do in the class that gets you a good pay, it's what you do outside your class, on a platform. and No matter whatever college you have if you follow your passion you will get ample of opportunities outside your college.

Hope it helps!

Good luck!

Hi,

I think although it depends on you, you should find out an optimal choice-a blend of both . A decent college and a stream which offers a lot of scope.

The only criteria to choose the branch vs college is based upon  your interest. You could be in the best college and not like the stream forced upon you, or you could be in a not so good college, studying what you like. So it depends on what you you make out of it. It is your decesion that can make or break you.

Unfortunately the tragedy of life is, we cannot have everything. We must judiciously take what comes our way.

What matters the most is what you do there in those 4 years.

Cheers!

Hi there,
You should find out an optimal choice. Actually a combination of both is required.

Only the college or the branch alone can't be the criteria for choosing your carrier (rest of your life actually depends on this). Dig out the best combination possible.

If I were you, I will give priority to the COLLEGE, because even if you get a very good branch in a not so good college, you may lose interest in study. Why? Because-

-> Lack of having good environment.
-> Not so good Faculties.
-> No motivation from teachers and friends
-> And obviously bad placement scenario and etc.

So I'll PREFER TO COLLEGE MORE than branch. Because in a good college you get-

-> Good overall environment (helps a lot to develop oneself)
-> Good teachers
-> Good Friends
-> Good campus facilities (e.g. library, internet, hostels, health centers etc)
-> Good Placement
