Enzymes are protein composed structures which are capable of catalysing chemical reaction of biological origin/industrial origin without undergoing any change itself.They are biocatalysts, and help to enhance the rate of a reaction but does not affect the end product.But the end product may somehow influence the chemical reaction.

Enzymes are also known as biological middle man and their study is known as Enzymology.
