Old (previous) concepts -


Complete oxidation of 1 molecule of NADH will produce 3 molecules of ATP.

Complete oxidation of 1 molecule of FADH2 will produce 2 molecules of ATP.


New (recent) concepts -


Complete oxidation of 1 molecule of NADH will produce 2.5 molecules of ATP.

Complete oxidation of 1 molecule of FADH2 will produce 1.5 molecules of ATP.
