To construct a square with 6 cm sides:

°Draw a 6 cm line segment AB.

°At point A, construct a perpendicular line.

°On this perpendicular, mark point D so that AD= 6 cm.

°Using a compass or set square:

*Draw a perpendicular at B

*Draw a perpendicular at D

°Mark the intersection as C.

°join points B-C and C-D.

ABCD is ur required square.
