Tamil Nadu has 13 self-financing colleges. The fee structure for these colleges range from around 1 - 4 lakhs per annum for government quota seats and around 4 to 13 lakhs for Management quota. This includes Tuition fee, Admission fee, Special fee, Laboratory / Computer/ Internet fee, Library fee, Sport fee, Maintenance and Amenities fee, extracurricular activities fee, and other recurring expenditure. 

Apart from the above mentioned fees, the college is allowed to collect an amount of 25k from each student as development fee. 

The student would be asked to pay a non-refundable amount of Rs.1000 during the time of counselling as demand draft in favour of the Secretary, Selection Commitee as processing fee. 

The above mentioned fee structure excludes the Scholarship, Fee Concession, Hostel Facilities, Transport, Mess charges etc. This  differs for every college. This may cost you around 1.5 lakhs in average per annum (for hostel).
