Could anyone provide me the complete details of NMAT exam like pattern, Marking scheme, Syllabus etc ??

NMAT is conducted for admission to MBA/PGDMprogramme. Since 2015, Graduate Management Admission Council (GMAC) administers the management examination.

Eligibility- 

  • Nationality- Both Indian and NRI candidates can apply
  • Minimum Qualification- 50% marks in Graduation; appearing candidates can also apply
  • Age- Upper age limit is 25 years
  • Work Experience of two or more years after graduation is favored.

NMAT Exam Pattern 2019: Candidates appearing in NMAT exam must have a clear understanding of the paper pattern for the same. NMAT is a computer-based exam comprising of three sections – Language Skills, Quantitative Skills, and Logical Reasoning.

NMAT by GMAC Syllabus is prescribed by Graduate Management Admission Council (GMAC) each year. It has not seen any major changes over the years. The syllabus for NMAT describes all the important chapters, topics and also the weightage each of them carries. The syllabus is divided into 3 broad sections viz.

  1. Language Skills
  2. Quantitative Analysis
  3. Logical Reasoning

NMAT 2019 is a computer-based test that will be conducted in multiple sessions. The test is of two hours in total. All questions will be objective in nature. Each section is individually timed.

You can attempt NMAT three times. You'll get very basic questions there with no negative marks. General quantitative aptitude, reasoning, data interpretation, Reading comprehension and vocabulary are asked. You can easily score above 150 if you have basic knowledge of all these subjects. 

The top colleges you can get with this exam are

  • NMIMS (all three campuses) 
  • XIMB (for HR only) 
  • MISB Bocconi 
  • IBS Hyderabad 

You can book your slot for the exam but each time you appear for the examination you'll have to fill the form of NMIMS (if you are targeting the college) with their registration amount.
