Bioinformatics is application of computer technology to the management of biological data. This means that bioinformatics links biological data with storage of its information. The bioinformatics specialist must be well versed in computer science and programming in addition to biological sciences. They work with scientists and researchers to manage and process data. You can do BSc or B.Tech in Bioinformatics after completing 10+2 in science stream. After graduation, you can work as a science technician, research assistant, bioinformatics software developer etc. The initial salary can range from Rs. 15,000-Rs. 25,000.
