If you are taking up a private college i would suggest you to not to choose cse specialisation branch because the companies which comes for recruitment like Amazon, DE Shaw, Cisco Dyte, Work India, Microsoft , Google won't recruit specialisation branches. They go with cse core branches.

So, if you are choosing government colleges like IITs /NITs then you can go with the other option but if not they don't do that. Colleges like VIT VELLORE won't shortlist you for these companies.

At the time of counselling everybody takes specialisation branches thinking that everybody will get equal opportunities.
