I would advise you to start your additional software testing course in your 2nd year as it is that part of the time where pressure is less and learning new skills becomes easy. Also you'll be preparing for the entrance exam in your final year so you'll not be able to get sufficient time to excel new skills.

So it's better to buckle up and start preparing.
