Hi,

In electronics and telecommunications, modulation s the process of varying one or more properties of a periodic waveform, called the carrier signal, with a modulation signal that typically contains information to be transmitted.  A modulator  is a device that performs modulation.

Transducer is a device for producing an electrical signal from another form of energy such as pressure.

Hope this helps.
