PGDM or ABM are provided by independent colleges under the affiliation of AICTE whereas MBA is provided under the affiliation of a university. Also, another difference is that PGDM is a diploma whereas MBA is a course but if a PGDM college is approved by AIU and AICTE, then it is equivalent to MBA

Thus, ABM (agro based management) MBA  course is related to the business of crop cultivation, food production and the various related business concepts in agriculture. The curriculum explores the whole range of agronomic products grown in India, their importance and needs. MBA in Agri-Business is a 2-year course, following the basic rules of a course in management and consisting of 4 semesters.
