The main difference between them is their structural formula.
In Propan-2-one the bond of oxygen in ketone is bonded with second carbon aton in chain.
In Propanone, the bond of oxygen is bonded with last or first atom of carbon chain.
But 2-propanone does not exist structurally because it doesn’t obey longest chain rule.
