The points of differences between cannabinoids and barbiturates are as follows:-

• Cannabinoids are hallucinogenic chemicals obtained from leaves while Barbiturates are synthetic drugs.
• Cannabinoid receptors are usually present in the air while Barbiturates are re general depressant for all excitable cells, but the CNS is most sensitive to these drugs.
• Cannabinoids are hallucinogenic produce a dream-like state with disorientation loss of contact with reality while Barbiturates are hypnotic and sedative in action.
