Hello,

The definition of work is the measure of the transfer of energy that occurs when an object is moved from one place to another with an external force.

Work=force*displacement i.e. F*s

SI Unit of work is Joule. The unit also used is N-m which basically comes from the formula, force multiplied by displacement.

Thank You.

Hello,

Work is the energy transferred to or from an object via the application of force along a displacement. It is often represented as the product of force and displacement. W=Fs, Work is equal to force multiplied by displacement. The SI unit of work is the joule (J), the same unit as for energy. Work is a scalar quantity.
