You haven't specified the name of course that you want to pursue.

But, yes you can take direct admission on 30 percent management quota seats instated of centralized admissionprocess.However, many times colleges demands huge donations for those management quota seats.Also, you will not get other benefits such as fees exemptions and other reservations for defense, pwd,OBC, ST,SC candidates that you will get via centralized admission process if you are eligible for that so I shall recommend you to try for centralized admission process first .

However,if you fail to get the desired college via centralized admission process and  want to choose the option of direct admission you still cannot neglect the compulsory entrance exams for various courses. For e.g, JEE for Engineering ,NEET for medical etc.
