Correct Answer: 9 > 5 > 4 - 18 + 9 > 16
Solution : Given:
> denotes +, < denotes -, + denotes ÷, % denotes *, - denotes =, * denotes > and = denotes <.
Substituting the signs in options:
Option first: 13 > 7 < 6 + 2 = 3 % 4
⇒ 13 + 7 - 6 ÷ 2 < 3 * 4
⇒ 14 < 12 ⇒ False.
Options second: 9 > 5 > 4 - 18 + 9 > 16
⇒ 9 + 5 + 4 = 18 ÷ 9 + 16
⇒ 18 = 18 ⇒ True. So, the second equation is true.
Option third: 9 < 3 < 2 > 1 * 8 % 2
⇒ 9 - 3 - 2 + 1 > 8 * 2
⇒ 5 > 16 ⇒ False.
Option fourth: 28 + 4 % 2 = 6 % 4 + 2
⇒ 28 ÷ 4 * 2 < 6 * 4 ÷ 2
Hence, the second option is correct.
