Correct Answer: 15 and 11, + and ×

Solution : Given:
17 × 15 + 3 – 11 ÷ 3 = 45

Interchanging the mathematical operations and numbers according to the given options to make the equation correct.
First option: 15 and 11, – and ×
17 – 11 + 3 × 15 ÷ 3 = 45
L.H.S.→17 – 11 + 3 × 5
17 – 11 + 15
6 + 15 = 45
21  45
Second option: 15 and 11, + and ×
17 + 11 × 3 – 15 ÷ 3 = 45
L.H.S.→17 + 11 × 3 – 5
17 + 33 – 5 = 45
45 = 45 (L.H.S. = R.H.S.)
Third option: 17 and 3, – and ÷
3 × 15 + 17 ÷ 11 – 17 = 45
L.H.S.→3 × 15 + 17 ÷ 11 – 17
3 × 15 + 1.5 – 17
45 + 1.5 – 17 = 29.5
29.5  45
Fourth option: 15 and 11, + and -
17 × 11 – 3 + 15 ÷ 3 = 45
L.H.S.→17 × 11  – 3 + 5
187 – 3 + 5 = 189
189  45

So, only the second option satisfies the equation. Hence, the second option is correct.
