Correct Answer: + and ×

Solution : Given:
12 + 156 ÷ 13 × 6 – 100 = 50

Let's check the options –
First option: ÷ and ×
⇒ 12 + 156 × 13 ÷ 6 – 100 = 50
Solving the L.H.S. of the equation –
= 12 + 338 – 100
= 250 ≠ 50
Second option: + and ×
⇒ 12 × 156 ÷ 13 + 6 – 100 = 50
Solving the L.H.S. of the equation –
= 12 × 12 + 6 – 100
= 144 + 6 – 100
= 50
Third option: – and ×
⇒ 12 + 156 ÷ 13 – 6 × 100 = 50
Solving the L.H.S. of the equation –
= 12 + 12 – 6 × 100
= 12 + 12 – 600
= –576 ≠ 50
Fourth option: ÷ and –
⇒ 12 + 156 – 13 × 6 ÷ 100 = 50
Solving the L.H.S. of the equation –
= 12 + 156 – 13 × 0.06
= 12 + 156 – 0.78
= 167.22 ≠ 50

So, only the second option satisfies the given equation. Hence, the second option is correct.
