Hello aspirant, HC verma is useful for doing conceptual ones, for numericalones, it is not actually sufficient, you need either dc pandey or other arihant numerical books to crack the jee mains exam, NCERT books can also help. You can take mock tests and have a look at past years papers to have a knowledge on what is being given.

Yes HC Verma books are termed as the best books for JEE mains as well as JEE advanced. all the topics and concepts are explained very beautifully in the book and the book consists of a good number of problems which are very good. There are two volumes of HC Verma books the first volume is for class 11 and the second one is for class 12 so you should definitely solve both the books for or you are better performance in physics in JEE examinations. HC Verma is a really good book if you want to build your concepts in physics it really help students who prepare thoroughly for the exam with the help of this book. but I would like to suggest you not to go into the book at this point of time where exam is is just on the verge to begin and there is very less time to build concepts for the exam. so I would recommend you to concentrate on the MCQ's and previous year question papers and that will be helpful
