Hi Vasanth

Medical Counselling Committee (MCC), on behalf of DGHS (Directorate General of Health Sciences), conduct online counselling for both Deemed and Central Universities. In order to participate in the same, you will be required to register at MCC portal itself. There will be no requirement to apply separately to the colleges.

The counselling will be conducted in three-four rounds: First, second and a Mop-up round will be conducted by MCC itself, whereas, in case any seats remain vacant, they will be transfered to respective college for Final Mop-up round.

You can get an idea of the counselling process of MCC for Deemed Universities from the link url given below:

Hope it clears the picture for you.

All the best!

One additional question.. For BHU, AMU and similar central universities is there a separate registration required? I see someone suggesting that it is required. See link below.. Can you please clarify?https://www.quora.com/Do-we-have-to-do-some-registration-for-admission-in-MBBS-colleges-like-BHU-AFMC-AMU-besides-the-NEET-application-form

VasanthAs far as the thread of Quora is concerned, they are talking of the fact that after filling NEET application form and giving NEET, you will also need to register with respective counselling authorities for participating in counselling process. Since, the counselling conducting authority for Central universities is MCI, you will need to register for participating in deemed and central counselling there. For participating in AIQ counselling, you will need to register with MCI separately. Now coming to the fact that if or not you will need to register with respective central university for getting admission,. then it wont be required as long as you are seeking admission under AIQ. However, some universities have institutional quotas for which you might or might not have to register separately. For instance, AMU reserves some seats under institutional quota for candidates who passed 10+2 from AMU and are seeking admission in MBBS there. The picture about registration for admission on such seats will become clear once the information bulletin of either AMU or MCI counselling is released for this year. I hope it helps.
