Do i need to be in top 20 percentile list by board to take admission in NIT or GFTI through Jee mains? not giving jee advance.

Hello

Yes, even for being eligible for NITs, GFTIs one needs at least  75% marks in aggregate in class 12 if belong to general or obc category or at least  65% marks if belongs to SC/ST or  must be in the top 20 percentile in  class 12 examination.

So, in case  if you fail to fulfill this criteria then you are not eligible for taking admission in NIT , GFTIs
