Hello Manpreet,

You don't need to do anything like that.There is a seperate website for counselling called JoSAA which is responsible for seat allocation in all IITs,NITs,CFTIs and IIITs.

You only need to fill your choices according to your priority(Most preferred choice 1st).

Hello,
No,after the declaration of JEE MAINS & ADVANCED results(ranks) and during the time of online counselling you will be given option to enter your choices.You can give NITs,IIITs,CFTIs as options according to your choice and rank in jee mains.

Hey,
According to jee mains rank you will be asked to fill your preference i.e. your college preference with trade. This will be for nits only.
Different trade preference has to be filled for iiits and cftis.
And for iits same i as nits but after the result of jee advance. Further you'll know when the time come as it will be mentioned in jee mains website

jee mains is for nits after qualifying for jee mains one can choose nits only then have to write jee advance for iits and iiits there will be a online portal for choosing the colloges hope you understood
