To be frank, NCERT is necessary but isn't sufficient. Like for Biology, you should know a lot of examples in each and every sub-topics of chapters in plant and animal physiology (morphology and anatomy). For chemistry try to get deep into organic, as you may have to work out the mechanism for a few questions. But, physics most probably shall be easy, and NCERT should suffice. Try to get all concepts clear and gain deep understanding in subjects like chemistry and bio.

Yes, for ICAR exam, NCERT books are the best one to prepare for it as it covers the entire portion of PCB (Class 11/12).. Read it completely to get good marks. Apart from these, you should try to solve model test papers for practice.
