Hello,

Peroxisome is present in the cytoplasm of many cells. It is a small organelle. It usually contains some oxidases. Microbodies in animal cells which contain catalase and H2O2 producing oxidase are known as peroxisomes.

Serine is a amino acid and it is formed in the photorespiration process. Photorespiration process, reactions of which occur in leaves is divided in peroxisome. Photorespiration is a sequence of six reactions.

It is a detailed and the process occurs step wise and during the process oxygen is taken up by peroxisome and there is a mitochondrial conversion of glycine to serine.

Good Luck!
