Yes, the students of polytechnic will get direct admission into 2nd year of btech as lateral entry through an entrance exam.

Students who completes their diploma (polytechnic) are eligible to write the entrance test and based on the rank they score in test,  seat is allocated in a engineering college. The polytechnic students study btech for 3years as they join directly in 2nd year.

There is also a opportunity for polytechnic students to change their branch in btech while counselling process.
