No, you don't as such need to be good at maths to do fashion designing but clear the entrance exam for NIFT your arithmetic needs to be good but the level of questions is not that high like that in engineering entrances.
NIFT entrance includes:
1. Quantitative Ability ( includes basic arithmetic topics like percentages, time and work, etc.)
2. English
3. Analytical Ability and Logical Ability (basically problem solving )
4. General Knowledge
