Yes your boards result matters alot while taking admission in any private engineering college. Also if you belong to general category and won't score minumum 75% in boards thhen you will not bbe eligible for JEE Mains examination. In private engineering colleges they generally prepare a merit list on basis of boards results which affects admission. If you score good marks like above 90% then there are some colleges which give direct admission based on that. Its totally wrong if someone says that boards result doesn't matters. So work hard and prepare well.
