GMVSS is a valid Board established by an Executive Order of State Government of Uttarakhand via Order No:459/P.P.S./C.M./2015 dated 03-12-2015 .

It is valid as the government order states that GMVSS syllabus has been approved to be equivalent to Uttrakhand school education council,ram Nagar,Nainital. Uttrakhand government has approved GMVSS to conduct exams and issue certificates.
