Chettinad doesn't have a common uniform or a formal code of conduct. They believe that a decent,smart and formal dress is what is expected in a formal place like college so they have a kind of uniform which is different for each year students. The boys have to wear shirt, trousers, belt, shoes in which shirt and trouser should be of the colour they've prescribed for each year. For girls top, bottom, dupatta and shoes in which the top and bottom should be of the colour which is prescribed for each year respectively. Each course and each year in that course has a different colour theme.
