Yes. The marks in +2 definitely affects the admissions in Engineering colleges. For pursuing your Engineering in IITs or NITs or any such top rated colleges, you need to score at least 75% in 12th grade. Also, for pursuing engineering in any other government or reputed private college, you must score at least 60% in 12th grade in order to get admissions through CAP rounds. In some colleges, you can get admissions if you score upto 50%. But in case if you score below 50% then you can only get admissions through management quota, but the chances are very less.
