Does the marks of 12th board are kept as cutoffs (such as 60%) by some companies while organising campus interview for engineering student?

Hi Trisha!

Yes, there are companies that have a criteria of maintaining a minimum percentage in the 12th board exams also apart from maintaining a minimum CGPA during their under-graduate course to sit for the interview. The minimum percentage varies from company to company depending on whether it's a start-up or a well-developed company.

Hope it helped you.

All the best!

Hi Trisha!I guess you have given 1 of subjects for re-correction right? So, if your marks are increasing and you make it to atleast 60%, then you may have chances of sitting for the interview of almost all companies.Even if your marks don't increase, you can still get a job, but it would pay much less comparatively. In either way, I suggest you to get much much better marks and work harder during your B-tech, so that they overlook your inter marks due to your good marks in B-tech.In this way, even if you have to join in low-paying companies, you can eventually join in better companies with increasing work-experience.Hope it helped you.All the best!

Many of the companies requirement is minimum 65 percent.  Some like ibm requires 70 percentage at 12th.
