Hello,
Let us analyse both exams as follows:-
  • JEE MAIN

Consists of 90 questions(30 each from Physics,Chemistry,Mahematics)

Time Duration:-3 hours

  • BITSAT

Consists of 150 questions(+12 Extra Questions if you attempt all the 150 and have time left). The breakup of questions is as follows-

Physics-40 Questions(+4 Extra Questions)

Chemistry-40 Questions(+4 Extra Questions)

Mathematics-45 Questions(+4 Extra Questions)

English & Logical Reasoning-25 Questions

Time Duration:-3 hours

BITSAT obviously has easier questions compared to JEE MAIN.
JEE MAIN requires you to maintain a balance between SPEED and ACCURACY.You may have to dug deep into the concepts for a few problems.BITSAT,on the other hand,is mostly a speed test. It although requires accuracy but maintaining speed while solving the problems is the key.Questions in BITSAT are usually straightforward and mostly require direct application of formulae or concepts.

Hey Anudeep.

When it comes to comparing JEE Main and BITSAT exams, most experts say that BITSAT is are easier than JEE Main. The main difference between the two exams is between the complexities of the questions. JEE Main presents the students with question that take up a lot of time to solve and require careful thinking whereas BITSAT holds questions of less perplexing nature.

Although BITSAT is less tough than JEE, it is certainly more competitive. You are provided with a question paper where you are supposed to answer 150 questions in 180 minutes while the BITSAT has 90 questions that need to be solved in 180 minutes. . That is a lot of questions and not enough time which is students appearing for BITSAT are recommended to work up their time management skills.

Being very competitive the BITSAT has the advantage that it has direct questions so the time management becomes less cumbersome. The questions can be very basic if you know the formulas and how to apply them. If your core concepts are good you will have little to no trouble solving the BITSAT exams. While the JEE Mains have questions that require sharp thinking skills.

JEE Mains test a student’s knowledge of the core subjects of Physics, Math and Chemistry, the BITSAT also tests English and logical reasoning skills. For appearing in BITSAT, it is vital that you practice your English skills because the students weak in English will have difficulty solving the English section of the test.

Engineering aspirants every year, in millions from all over India appear for the JEE Main and BITSAT in the hope to make it into the engineering university of their desire. JEE (Joint Entrance Examination) is the first step you take for getting into the renowned IITs (Indian Institutes of Technology). The BITSAT on the other hand is conducted by Birla Institute of Technology and Sciences, Pilani, through which you can admission in one of its three campuses in Pilani, Goa and Hyderabad.

Hope this serves your query. Please feel free to respond and ask further questions.

All the best.
