Yes the overall score of MAT is taken into account which includes your gk score for admission in any business school that take MAT score as of the the exam for admission.
More than 600 B-schools across India accept MAT score for their admission process. Candidates are shortlisted first on the basis of their MAT score and called for the selection procedure – Writing test, GD, and PI. The selection rounds may differ from institute to institute.
