During an adiabatic change specific heat of a gas remains constant.

No heat enters or escapes from the system when an adiabatic change is carried out.

Specific heat is the amount of energy needed to raise the temperature of 1 kg of a substance by 1 degree C.
C = Q/mΔT
In adiabatic process Q=0. Therefore, C is zero.
