So if you want to study MBA at State level, ICET is important. Apart from AP ICET, there are other entrance examinations like CAT, XAT, SNAP etc. and these scores are also accepted in almost all Colleges. So if you do not want to appear for APICET, you can also think of CAT, XAT, ATMA, CMAT, etc. But for admission to MCA Colleges in AP, appearing for AP ICET is important. APICET stands for Andhra Pradesh Integrated Common Entrance Test. This test is conducted by Shri Venkateshwara University for admission to first year of MBA and MCA in colleges situated in Andhra Prades only.

However you can appear for CAT exam also if your wishing college is enlisted in the colleges eligible for CAT exam. As by clearing CAT exam you will not only get into 20 IIMs but also there are over 1000 Business schools in which you can pursue MBA. Note that CAT is only for MBA course not for MCA.
