OISHEE BANERJEE 29th Jul, 2025

The AP ECET exam for CSE under the C23 diploma syllabus has a total of 200 marks and is conducted over 3 hours. The paper consists of 200 multiple-choice questions with no negative marking.

The exam is divided into four parts. Physics carries 25 marks, Chemistry carries 25 marks, and Mathematics carries 50 marks. The remaining 100 marks come from the core CSE subjects.

In the CSE section, the approximate weightage is as follows: Digital Electronics – 8 marks, Software Engineering – 8 marks, Computer Organization and Microprocessors – 12 marks, Data Structures with C – 10 marks, Computer Networks – 12 marks, Operating Systems – 12 marks, Database Management Systems – 10 marks, Object-Oriented Programming using C++ – 10 marks, and Java Programming and Web Technologies – 8 marks.

To prepare well, give priority to high-weightage subjects like Operating Systems, Networks, and Microprocessors. Don’t ignore Physics, Chemistry, and Maths, as they form 50 percent of the non-core section. Regular mock tests and topic-wise revision will help you manage time and accuracy.
