Hello, Electric current is a scalar quantity and it is measured in the units of ampere simply indicated as A. The ammeter is used in measuring the current. There are four types of ammeter

  • Permanent magnet moving coil
  • Moving iron ammeter
  • Electrodynamometer type
  • Rectifier type

DC and AC can be both measured by Moving iron and electrodynamometer.

Hope this helps.

Hello!
Anampere(AM-pir), or amp, is the internationalunitused for measuring current. It expresses the quantity of electrons (sometimes called "electrical charge") flowing past a point in a circuit over a given time
Hope this helps you!
Keep asking!!

HEllo,

Electric current is measured using a measuring device called Ammeter. The Ammeter must be  connect the ammeter in series to the circuit in order to measure the current flowing through a component in a circuit. Current is measured in the units Amperes denoted by the symbol A. An Ammeter is denoted by the symbol "A enclosed within a circle".

Good luck
