Both the branches are almost the same. In most of the universities they are treated as the same branch only. The syllabus for the branches is mostly overlapping.

 The fundamental difference between the two is that, Electronics & communication engineering includes small distance communication with Microprocessors, Controllers, digital and analog communication etc.  Whereas Electronics & telecommunication engineering deals with distance Communication and includes satellite communication, radio waves, Internet etc.
