JEE main is a national engineering entrance accepted across India in different government and private institutes and universities. Here is the ranking of the colleges:-

1. IIT(all campus)
2. NIT(All campus)
3. BITs(private)
4. IIIT(all campus)
5. GFTI(in every state)
6. Private institutes

This is the ranking of colleges. The better you perform in jee main exam, you will go in the level up and get best college for graduation.

NIT accepts JEE main and IIT accepts JEE advance score. BITS has its own exam and accepts jee main too. IIIT and all other government and private institutes accept jee main and state engineering exams for intake of candidates on the basis of score and rank.
