In the overall category, The Indian Institute of Science (IISc), Bangalore, and IIT-Delhi ranked second and third in the list respectively. Of the top 10 institutes, seven are IITs. The ranking of IIT-Bombay slipped from number 2 in 2018 to number 3 this year. National Institute of Technology, Tiruchirappalli has made it the top 10 list while the ranking of the Anna University has slipped this year.
