Dear Syed, As this is still the pilot year of this reservation being implemented, we still need to see how it unfolds. There are around 1 lakh seats being added to accomodate EWS category students. This is exclusive of the SC,ST,OBC reservation which occupies 50% quota. When 10% EWS reservation is added, it takes the reservation to 60% leaving Unreserved Category at only 40%. And how this will effect the ranks is yet to be seen.
