Ecofeminism in simpler terms is combination of ecology and feminism, it's also known as ecological feminism, the word was first coined in the year 1974 by french writer françoise d'Eaubonne in her book named le féminisme ou la mort , during the late 70's and early 80's, this movement of ecofeminism was born out of congregration of academic and professional women in order to discuss ways to combine the very concept of environmentalism and feminism to advocate respect for women as well the environment or the natural world.
