Prophet Muhammads teachings are the main source of Islam and lead the way to a life of belief, ethics, and social responsibility. He underlined the necessity of one Gods belief (Allah) and the integral part of worship through prayer, fasting, almsgiving, and pilgrimage. He instructed that living with good morals truthfulness, gentleness, patience, and forgiveness is the basis of a spiritually rich life. ustice and fairness were the core of his teachings, among which were the rights of the weak, women, and orphans, etc. Loving others, giving, and helping the poor were the characteristics most encouraged by him and these virtues are nothing but the signs of social responsibility. He also advocated the acquisition of knowledge and the pursuit of wisdom, exhorting people to study and meditate. The point of family, community, and social peace was very important, mutual help, fair dealings, and neighbors rights being the areas of stress. Ultimately, his instructions make the followers live a calibrated life, which is a combination of spiritual dedication and moral behavior, thus enabling them to live in a state of peace, justice, and social responsibility towards God and other human beings.
