We see

4:16::16:x

Thus

x= (16×16)/4 =64

Hence, the Third Proportional is 64, when Mean Proportional is 16 with respect to 4. Squaring 16 we get 256 followed by dividing by 4, which gives 64.

Ratio and Proportionality is a very important topic in high school Mathematics with immense application in different branches of Science.
